It is advised that you park at Crabtree Meadows parking area and walk 0.5 mile to the trailhead. The drive to the meadows parking is bumpy but only cars with four-wheel drive should attempt the last 0.5 mile to the actual trailhead.
Mile 0.0 From the parking area, hike half a mile to the trailhead where SR826 meets the A.T.
Mile 0.5 turn left on the white blazed A.T. trail heading north for 0.9 miles until you reach the shelter
Mile 1.3 at the Shelter spur trail intersection continue on the A.T. for 0.3 miles
Mile 1.4 take a left onto the Priest Overlook spur trail until you reach the summit
Retrace your steps back down to the parking area

Personal Recommendations:

Suprisingly this hike is not that popular, even with Liberty students. The Priest offers amazing views at the top and the hike itself is fairly easy. The elevation gain isn't much, making the climb easy and the reward is amazing. There is plenty of space at the summit to hang out on the rocks enjoy a nice lunch, but more importantly enjoy the peace and quiet. Hurry to the trail before students discover this one!
