This blue blazed trail is flat/downhill for the first 1.5 miles
Mile 1.3 arrive at a trail junction and bear left uphill following the sign towards the blue blazes for one mile
Mile 2.0 Arrive at the junction where it will flatten out again stay straight on the Mount Pleasant Summit trail
Mile 2.4 arrive at the saddle between the two peaks, be sure to check out both of them!
West Summit: 0.1 mile from the saddle
East Summit: 0.1 mile

Personal Recommendations:

Believe it or not, this is my favorite hike in the Central, VA area. The hike itself is very enjoyable and the view from each saddle is breathtaking. Drive right past the Cold Mountain parking lot and hop on this trail instead.
